I hope you weren’t paddling with the same grip as the chick in that pic, wrong wrong wrong ha ha! Download Endomondo or Sportstracker, buy a waterproof case for your phone and log all your workouts, is good fun trying to beat your PB’s for distances, times and average speeds etc. Awesome workout on the SUP as well, I dropped 8kgs in the first two weeks, I did do about 80kms in those first two weeks though ha ha!

Yeah, nah. Had my hand on the top of the paddle (if that makes sense?)

Have now officially put a garmin on the ‘to buy’ list. Think that will work better than a phone plus I really don’t think it’s a wise idea to have a phone on me while out in the water.
Yeah was a heap of fun! Can’t wait to do it again, a SUP is now on the wish list however there’s a heap of things that I need to buy before it.
That chick has the paddle backwards as well ha ha! Go down to the local adventure or marine store and get a waterproof bag for it, bout $30 and no dramas with phone in thewater.
Ahaha she does too!
i’ve been hitting the trails on my Bike a lot more than i have ever done before, it’s been really good fitness wise and for toning up! have ridden just under 100 km this month all on on rough bush tracks. so much fun!
similar to NBG i have been using Strava to log all my rides, it’s a pretty fun way to see how your going and if your riding ability/speed/fitness is improving. plus you get some cool KOM stats to boot!
This is the summary of my efforts thus far, I chose Kayaking as the sport as it’s probably the one that is closest to SUPing that you can choose from.
Total workouts: 23
Total duration: 17h:42m:27s
Total distance: 110.77 km
Trips around the world: 0.003
Trips to the Moon: 0
Average speed: 6.26 km/h
Average pace: 9m:35s
Calories burned: 12476 kcal
Burgers burned: 23
These are the numbers I try to improve upon, most important is the 5km, kinda takes out the variables like paddling upwind or downwind and the associated change in speed, 5km averages it out a bit.
Kayaking
One hour 6.33 km
1 km 6m:28s
1 mile 12m:05s
5 km 40m:38s
The workout view of my paddle this morning!
Went to another Bikram yoga session last night. Probably my best session so far. Made some noticeable improvements in flexibility and endurance. It feels like my fitness levels are slowly on the rise and I’m starting to feel good again. I’ll be going to another session on Thursday night. I really want to get back in the pool as well. Yoga and swimming - good training for surfing I think.
i was exercising my fingers all day by pressing mouse button ...
Went for another run last night. Still only 2km, but it was the first run I didn’t really hurt on. I’ll tack another km onto it tomorrow night, and go from there.
Hopefully every week or so I can lengthen my runs a little. I’m in no great rush to do huge distances. As long as I’m right by mid Jan.
did 2 laps of ourimbah XC mtb course yesterday. 18.2 km and it was 31?c when i finished… cramps, dizziness, awesome!!!
C25K session
Stretching & foam roller action
Bench
Seated rows
Assisted pull ups
Assisted chins
Assisted dips
Deads
Going to the gym after work when know you don’t have to go home to study is kinda relaxing.
Tomorrow will be a world of pain.
Can’t do anything, stupid calf muscle!
i climbed up and down scaffold all day today… definitely sweating out all the booze i sunk over in bali
Bikram smashed me last night. Probably the hardest session since I started back. I was absolutely beat during the session, felt like I was going to pass out at one stage. All good though, I’m glad I pushed through it. Next session on Monday night.
Does 18 holes of golf count?
