lol they way i see it no matter what go pro does spaz will hate them…
Not true at all Lanox, my dislike is toward one of the Aussie suppliers and the marketing generated by GoPro - not the camera but my (past) negative posting has been in respone missguided information being posted about it.
I came across as a hater but I’m really not.

I am making an effort to not sound like I hate GoPro.
It may sounds like it purely as it’s pre-conceived and because I don’t say; “it’s the best wearable camera and you should all rush out and buy one without consideration (to what else is on the market)”.
There are a few brands and models of camera to steer clear of - GoPro is not one of these.
GoPro owners are satisfied with the product (some even find stoke), I am satisfied with the GoPro’s I’ve used but I get more than satisfaction from other brands.
My view is based on a comparison of GoPro against it’s competition and an attempt to better users experience (especially BWM) while also trying to help people get a good deal on what they want.
In the past I’ve come off as a dick in the way I’ve attacked the brand and people who love that brand, which I regret because I never intended to offend anyone. It’s only recently that I realized this.

The new LCD BacPac is touchscreen with all functions!
The old LCD will still work.
The Old Battery BacPac will still work (but not the old internal battery).
Silver and White Edition Hero 3 ARE IN THE COUNTRY! but they are waiting to clear customs.
The warehouse expects to begin shipping them to suppliers and for dealers to start filling their pre-orders next week.
Black Edition - hmmm;
GoPro have said to expect mid November shipping, this isn’t the best news for people wanting one for Xmas.
At that time of year customs are chockas! I had 10 cameras due for mid November delivery in 2010 - they were a new model from an established HeadCam company. The manufacturer was held up 2 weeks, shipping took 3 weeks, then customs took 2 weeks to clear them - I received them in January.
The biggest worry is that GoPro refuses to update any details about how the mass production of Black Edition is going - even to it’s closest business partners.
I hope no-one is expecting Santa to leave Black Edition Hero under the tree.
Although; he is the one to perform the kind of miracle needed to make that happen…

Lets just say the quality of footage is fantastic but it’s the content you might consider twice about, or maybe want to watch twice.
I see they’ve slipped their estimated shipping date for the black by 2 weeks to 29th November. Here we go again…
Ive got the silver edition in my hand right now, bought it a few days ago at jb hifi for $350, i think i should of probably just waited for the black edition because it comes with the remote and better features, AND i didnt realize that the update to use the silver with iphone app wont be avaliable unti i think the 15th

Who is buying a Black? Unfortunately it looks like Spaz won’t be able to sell these. Best price I’ve found so far is $419, ETA late Nov/early Dec. Not sure how real that timing is, although there are some Blacks starting to filter out now.
