Help me computer people!
Nothing to do with PC v Apple…
Just wondering if anyone knows a simple way of embedding a youtube video into Word? I think I’m using word 2007. I did a bit of googling but the things I saw seemed kind of complicated.

Is the document to be read as an electronic version????? As opposed to a hard copy!!!!!
You cant use just a Hyperlink????? With a screen shot next to or below it!!!!!

haha no I’ll be emailing the document (my assignment) to my lecturer, so she’ll just be reading it on a computer….I can hyperlink of course, but thought it would look way more pro if it was embedded!

tried it, when it says embed movie = true…it needs to be false. otherwise there is issues later when playing back

heres the file if you want to copy it, you need to know how to get into and out of developer to be able to change videos though

Unless its your video (but then you would be handing in a dvd) or a presentation, I would think an assignment would do better just providing a link. Marks would be based on your words/work not using someone else’s efforts. Like a footnote - your just providing the reference.
Eg: (you topic matter)...as can be seen in the video found through the hyperlink.
But I never did assignments or have an education past high school so I’m making this up!

Am using the video as an historical source and stimulus for discussion….the words I write explain how I would use the video as a teaching aid.
So I thought it would be neat if the lecturer could just hit play within my document and see what I’m talking about (while reading what I wrote at the same time if she wanted), rather than open new tab and watch and then go back to what I was talking about…Wasn’t trying to get more marks from anything to do with the video, just trying to make it all be there, nice and clean!
Read text and watch the video at the same time?????

I have a PDF I want to upload but it is twice the allowable attachment limit. How can you compress a PDF? I tried uploading it to photobucket in case i could save it as slightly lower quality or as a jpeg or something there but it wouldn’t work. hints?
You should be able to save it as a smaller file (less quality), or jpeg on ya desktop?????
I’m outta touch with Windows, but on a Mac, just open the file, ‘file’, then ‘save as’, should be a few options there?????
Just rename the new file so ya still have the original incase ya not happy with it!!!!!
dont know if you have adobe acrobat
there is a reduce size option under document menu

I generally recommend compressing/resizing any images before actually inserting them into the PDF which will dramatically cut the size down with minimal quality loss. You won’t gain much if anything by zipping/raring a pdf.
You can however open the file in acrobat and going to document/reduce file size which will apply additional compression to images within the document.
Ahhh, has Windows got a default reader like Mac????? (Preview)
The Adobe Acrobat Reader will not do it, yeah????? Have to have the full version as huma said!!!!!
