Depends on the season I guess. It does look pretty good up there right now though. I’d be frothing if I was in Whistler right now.

I hope it’s a killer season for all you lucky people who are heading OS.  Just out of curiosity, is this “frankenstorm” expected to bring snow to the mountains?

Sounds like Vermont resorts will be getting the most out of it!

When you guys go to Whistler/Canada/US for your snow fix, do you stay in something similar to a B&B? Or is it mainly holiday homes, hotels or backbacker style?

I have only stayed in B&B in England (as clique as that sounds!) They have just never suited my needs elsewhere.

I think a Chalet is in the same class and I will be staying in one in Europe.

In Tahoe I will be staying in a cabin I think as it will suit our purpose (and make up of group)

It really depends on the duration of the stay and the budget.  I have lived in a sauna for a year to save money on re,nt.  I’ve had friends live under stairs and basically anywhere you can lay down.
So long term, id say a share house or little apartment.  Short term, hotels and hostels or couch surfing at friends.

sorry i dont know how that link got in there, ill see if i can trick it with a comma

Flying out to Vancouver tomorrow! so excited. Can’t wait to get out there and get meeting everyone and begin my season! :D

It really depends on the actual trip. If I’m doing a season or extended stay somewhere, I’ll rent a house (or a room) for the season and make it my home for six months. For shorter trips, budget but comfortable is usually what I go for. For really short trips, hotel / condo / lodge type thing - depending on how many people we’re travelling with.

Nice one mate! You must be stoked. Word of advice: on the us ride from Vancouver to Whistler, sit on the left side of the bus - the view is incredible! Enjoy and let us know when you’re settled in Whistler.
