Internet FTW!!!!!

or

Internet - 1
Gullible teenage girls who don’t bother fact checking - minus all their hair.

If this is actually true, it’s internet gold!

I was watching that as they were kicking the prank off - all the pictures of shaved heads didn’t do it for that, they were pulled off other sites and google images, and there was one guy who did it to himself to make it look more legit. I haven’t seen any evidence that anyone actually shaved their heads due to that prank though.

Among all the fake #baldforbieber images, there’s bound to be some real ones.

. . . or perhaps not?

Perhaps the real irony is that every single one of the teenage girls who initially tweeted in support, DID actually do some fact checking, and the story itself is a hoax? That would be even better!

Look at them, the ones with writing in them are older males - do you really think they would shave their heads for that? The one with his full face showing and the sign was the one I was talking about who did it to help kick off the prank. The female with the sign is an obvious photoshop, the others are images pulled from elsewhere, like personal facebook photos, tumblr or flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/42335784@N00/3513315119/galleries/ as one example).

People posted those pictures for the owner of baldforbieber.com to post up there. I imagine there’s probably some people who did it, but so far I haven’t actually seen proof. Elaborate prank though, definitely funny with or without the desired result.

Yeah, it’s obvious that all the first pics to go up were fake or contrived.

I haven’t actually seen genuine proof either, but the fact that the story/prank gained such momentum is part of what makes it so funny - with or without any actual ‘victims’. Anyone who reads the story and buys into it even for a second has ‘fallen for it’ in a way, and that’s the beauty of it.

Anyway, I’m off to the wig shop.
