It took me about 10 reads to understand what you meant by ‘being paper’. hahaha I forgot that system existed. I wouldn’t have a clue what any of the year related materials are….and I actually hope to keep it that way (its cheaper. hahahaha)
congrats on the 1st anniversary….going for double or nothing??
Yeah, I’ve got no idea what the anniversary bizo’s are either!!!!!
I think 25 is Silver????? That’s about where my knowledge ends!!!!!
I’m lucky that Mrs Mizu and I don’t really worry about it!!!!! Lucky for me that she doesn’t anyway!!!!!
We actually forgot what date it was for aout the first 6 years!!!!! Hahahhaaa!!!!!
Actually cords following those traditions means the gifts are super inexpensive!
I really like the idea of them in that the make to giver really think about the gift!
Like Mizu said 25years before you get to silver!! Thats a lot of less valuable “resources” you go through!
I believe there is a modern list going around - but the original one would be the cheaper one!
Yeah, isn’t there shit like lumps of Coal, and Rocks?????
The Carbon Tax will make those a bit dearer now!!!!!
Actually cords following those traditions means the gifts are super inexpensive!
haha not cheaper than our current gift plan
I’m not against gifts at all, I love giving them, I’m just not going to go out and buy something that I wouldn’t otherwise have gotten just because of a day on the calendar. I wouldn’t mind at all if I never got an anniversary gift.
I meant to get our wedding date engraved on the wedding rings so I couldn’t forget….but I forgot! hahahaha
Now I made part of the anniversary date part of some of my passwords for different online stuff. Typing it over and over gets it cemented in your brain pretty quickly.
Thats cool Cords but some people want to and I think people get caught up in the BIGGER BETTER mentality where as sticking to these gifts makes it easier and you have to be more creative.
I hate giving gifts for the sake of it - would much prefer to buy someone an awesome gift that is something they want - this year and then next year if i can’t think find something i can let it slide LOL. Rather than being forced to you something for the sake of it.
I have bought people gift vouchers that have been lost and never spent - may as well tear up the $50 note and throw it away!
Actually I kind of do that anyway! I am a random gift giver! LOL (well for friends - family i always do)
For anyone who is curious!

A desk set? Does that make anyone else thing of dead poets society?
An original poetry tribute? hahahahahahaha
Of course you focus on the Modern ones!
I think the traditional ones are cool.
But to each his own.
p.s. wtf is optical goods?
does it mean if you’ve been married for 48 years that you’re probably so old that you’re going pretty blind and could do with a new set of glasses?
Be creative Cords!
Telescope?
Binoculars?
Maybe ya need glasses incase ya accidently take home the wrong partner!!!!!
