You might want to slide your bindings forward a bit Lester. Looks like you have more heel overhang then toe overhang.
Though with some setups this can be the way it feels best.
Just ride it first I guess. Though I always start with my bindings centered and work from there. Just a thought.
A Flux joke in a Now thread. Oh the wit on this forum!
I still want to try these things.
I have no real idea. But I envision them being less aggressive so maybe not so good for high end riders. But they could in theory be awesome for beginner - intermediate riders.I found it to be quite the opposite. I also had the same thoughts as you but that changed after I rode the bindings. In the same way a cambered board lets you build up pressure during a carve or ollie, then releases that energy into the next turn or to put you in the air, I found the bindings worked in the same sort of way. Because of the hinge, you are able to build up some pressure during the turn, and as soon as you release that energy it springs you into the next turn. It’s hard to describe but they really do work, and if anything I would say they improve response in most situations.
Yeah I get you. You can release pressure in the hinge rather than using your ankle to do the same thing. Interesting stuff.
Do u physically feel it rock? Or does it just feel normal and the pressure builds and releases easier? Also how is it on landings, different?
God I really just want to try some already lol
You don’t really feel it rock. You can feel it move slightly, but in a very natural way with the flow of the terrain and turns. One thing I noticed was the increase in independent foot control - I really enjoyed that. Didn’t feel any different on landings.
Took the now bindings out on Saturday with the Greats not in the best conditions but something is better then nothing.
Now I was expecting a completely different feeling with the NOW bindings first half of the day I was on a Bataleon Evil Twin W/ Ride Maestro bindings then the second half I took Yes. The Greats W/Now bindings and I gotta say the boards feel different all bindings aside but I didn’t notice that much of a difference in feel of the bindings but conditions might have had something to do with that (slush) is not that type for testing out NOW bindings considering they are geared more towards the back country and Pow runs.
I gotta say I heard people say that they reduce chatter and thats a fact without a doubt with the pivoting movement in them I can see why that is and it makes the ride feel great, can wait to to take them out in POW. Turn initiation is improved in my opinion very smooth.
The bindings are built tough they feel solid the one thing that I had a slight problem with was my toe strap coming loose on my right foot. When I mean coming loose I mean not at the buckle (buckles are solid) but at the other side where you can adjust the length the little tightening latch part opened twice not sure when but I noticed at the top of the hill, afterwards I kept checking just to be sure and they were fine. Im just not sure what would have caused that to happen.
Will update as soon as I get more time one they bindings
Took the now bindings out yesterday and hit some minimal fresh pow 6-8 inch not much but I got first feeling with these bindings and damn it felt unreal definitely noticeable difference in these bindings compared to regular bindings they feel amazing such effortless feeling and carvings WOW! Can’t wait for Whistler
Will update later
Thanks for the feedback, Lester. Good to hear you’re enjoying them!

anyway, glad to hear your feedback on the bindings, they sound really good.

Hell yeah ill be there from Feb 16-21 ill pm you guys about a week before with details it be great to meet up, first time over there so would be great to shred with people that know the area considering my time frame no time to waste on shitty runs.
Thanx
I was just molesting a pair of these in the capital 17 store here in melbs. They look good in person but strapping my sneakers into them and then standing on carpet gave me absolutely now idea how they would fair in the white stuff. Wish I had a spare 350 notes to layout on a pair to try.
I thought the samething until i attach them to the board then the magic happens you can feel the pivoting right from the get go, great all around but on pow AMAZING
I really, really dont need new bindings…but….
You should get them
I second that GET THEM
