Squaw Valley opens tomorrow for one day only!
The first storm of the season has already dumped up to 3 feet of snow on Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows with more snow in the forecast. In celebration of this good fortune, Squaw Valley will run the Searchlight chairlift this Thursday (October 25) from 10am-2pm to offer skiing and riding with a $20 lift ticket with all proceeds going to the Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows Teams Foundation.

Searchlight is recommended for intermediate to advanced ability levels, NOT beginners.
Damn why can’t we have a bonus day on an advance lift!
The area they are opening
Because in Australia, the beginners go on whatever is open. I.E. Front Valley is packed and it’s much harder than Blue Cow or Smiggs.
