What are those two little adjustment dials(well the look like dials) just inside of the pad on the bottom right of that picture?
They’re the date/time setting dials for the Flux Capacitor - but they only come into play when you hit 88 miles per hour.
A Flux joke in a Now thread. Oh the wit on this forum!
I still want to try these things.
I have no real idea. But I envision them being less aggressive so maybe not so good for high end riders. But they could in theory be awesome for beginner - intermediate riders.
The NOW bindings less aggressive?
The NOW bindings less aggressive?
Not according to DCP, Jp Solberg, and Jeremy Jones.
I was gonna say that haha and Devun Walsh too
Haha, yeah - and JF Pelchat himself, he’s a hardman!!!
Just looked at the website, apparently JP’s not on the team, only DCP, RDM, and Helen schetinni that are from the YES team that are on NOW.
I don’t care what riders say, I have to test and make my own decision. According to the Bataleon team, their boards are the best at everything…...................... Like I said I’m only speculating since I haven’t ridden them yet. But yes, less aggressive, or maybe aggressive is the wrong word. Less usable at a higher level of riding. (And yes Devun and Jeremy Jones are pro riders, but when I see a pro rider that aren’t sponsored by them using them to compete for more then one season, then I will believe)
I could see how they would be good to let beginners to intermediates initiate turns with that skateboard truck feel. But when I move my foot, I want the board to move at the same speed and to the same angle. That’s all, you don’t have to defend them.
I’m looking at this from teaching point of view, if they work the way I think they do, I really think this could be a big thing in rental gear just like rockers have become.
Probably really fun in powder too
I wonder if they’ll do a demo in Hakuba

Oh yeah, that’s right - JP Solberg’s on that brand that Mizu likes.
@andy: You should definitely demo these Andy. You’ll love it and hopefully change your opinions on them =).
That hovercraft is sickkk, update us on how you like it in pow.
The Hovercraft is sick in pow as is but ill definitely let you guys know how the Now Bindings improve the ride
Those three screws on the bottom near the toes… what do they do? Are you sure they aren’t to adjust the toe ramp?
Those hold the footbed in place but there is no adjustment that i can see, the footbed ontop is a one piece setup up that clips in towards the back so any adjustment would not work when clipping the footbed in. You can adjust the forward lean, take the highback off and adjust the strap length other then that its a solid setup.
After test fitting the M now bindings today compared to the L, there is no doubt about it if you going with a reg width board go with a M now binding if you go a 10.5 on a boot size or higher you most likely going to have a wide board then go with a L. After putting on the M today it was actually possible for me to perfectly center the boot on the board. That’s something that I couldn’t do with the large. Will upload pics later
