how much did that thing set you back? surely it is a major pain in the arse carrying that around. much kudos for doing it.

spot on oz girl - it is a steadicam, the brand is glidecam. They have full bodysuits available for them, but no really practical for snowboarding haha.

Yeah I paid about $600 for it, it packs down really small, and it’s not too bad to ride with, I also have an attachment that looks a lot like a cast for a broken wrist, helps to transfer the weight of the system through the arm way better (that was $50 or something off ebay, not the official one from glidecam..) It’s much easier to transport then a tripod IMO. And I’ve got it rigged up with an manfrotto quick release plate which allows me to swap it direct to my slider or tripod.

Azz, we filmed most of that in one day and that was the first time hitting the last jump with the setup, it was actually really fun! filming that jump is a pain if your scooting over the knuckle, it was good just watching the boys float in front of me haha
