Moved into the new crib (about 70m from the illawarra), beginning a new chapter, life is getting good.

Unless he is talking about the Illawarra region in which case his post makes little sense as it covers the same area as Canberra.

Actually the “Illawarra” (Hotel that is, there’s also the Leagues Club not far from there) has a good feed on these days too, as it’s a lot more classier than the Pub of the old days!!!!!
And just up the road at Mylan, is the best bowl of noodles for about $10-12 ya can get this side of Japan!!!!! I always go the Prawn/Rice Noodle/Red Chilli/Hold the Won Ton!!!!!
But ya most likely know about that anyway!!!!! So now I’m just ramblin on again as usual!!!!!

Got the new car

So I will share some info about the car - mind you I am not complaining AT ALL! Its a bargain of a car. But i know the boys will be interested!
So first thing i notice on the car is that it has a Bathurst 2011 “Officials & Volunteers” parking sticker on it. And it has a bunch of Rally stickers on it - including one on the roof with a number? At guess I would say this car has been in at least one rally!
Also when i was going insane waiting to pick up the car I was doing some online research and one of the used car reviews said the biggest thing to look out for is looking at the under carriage and see how damage it is as that is an indicator of how much off roading it has done! I think based on the above info it is safe to say this car would have a bit of under carriage damage
I think the sunroofs are broken (struggling to get them open - just the cover bit. I know you can’t actually open the glass bit (well that i can see)
The outside is in pretty good nick except for some damage on the read gate. Nothing I can’t live with.
The inside is a little worst for wear. The most obvious thing that dates it to me is that the windscreen wipers are rusty. It bugs me so I might fix that.
Very comfy ride! Even starting it you can tell straight away it has more balls than the imprezza and not as “zippy” a feel about it.
No cream leather seats!
Oh and no log books or even a manual :-(
It was due for a service in Oct or 215k and it has 214k on the clock - I need to double check but i think the dealers mechanics would have done a minor service for me as i know it spent the day in the shop yesterday (although they didn’t update the sticker so maybe not). With no log books I have no idea if the timing belt got done at 200k. thinking of calling the last mechanic on the sticker and seeing if they know history on the car.

Stoked on the Sydney FC v Jets game tonight. 35,000 people, all amped and excited. The marquee man Del Piero scores a sweet free kick (I lost my shoite!), Newcastle’s marquee Heskey scored for them….Sydney with all the chances at the end….really exciting game. If that was entertaining and exciting enough for people to keep coming back then I don’t know what is!
Super excited for the inaugural derby next week!
