I ride a 155 but have gone as low as 150. 152-153 is generally a decent size. You are lighter than me as well.
Lanox, Freddy is at his max around 80kgs, just like you, and he rides a 149 for the park (and always has done). He likes the skatey feel of a shorter board. He’s a lot shorter than you though (166), but everything I’ve read is that height doesn’t make that much difference?
Anyway, I’m sure keeping that in mind, that you’d be fine with a 153 or 154.

Pretty sure that the 2012 and 2013 PLY’s are the same!!!!!
Just a different graphic!!!!!
If ya want my review on the 2013’s graphic, I reckon that it will go heaps faster than the 2012’s!!!!!

Ive ridden as low as 148 on my K2www. Im 70kg 174tall. It really comes down to preference and the feel you want out of the board
I feel something around the 151 to 153 mark would be a good park/jib board for you, especially considering you already have a 155.
Andy thanks heaps for that.
It makes lot of sense as to what you saying.
I never tried TBT technology so i would be taking a chance on that.
Let say if either go with DC or the Jackpot would you take those boards to japan if you where just to do park and maybe little powder runs ?
Thanks
Lano
I would say a rider like you could handle either of those boards in Japan. But the Jackpot will float a little better in powder because it has rockered tips.
I’m working in Japan next season and I will be on a pure camber board. But if you want to float easier in the powder than the Jackpot is the way to go.
If you want the more aggressive board with a little more snap in the nose/tail, then get the DC.

As far as the Jackpot goes, either the 152, 154 or 156 are right for Lano’s boot size.

i am thinking of getting this one in 153… feel excited i think boarders in Brookvale has it for $270 wonder y cheap ?
Good choice, that’s the board I would have chosen. A MAN’S BOARD
thanks Andy…
The DC Ply is stiffer than the board Lano currently rides! Surely he’d be better off learning buttering etc. on a softer board?
For Lano’s boot size, my suggestion is the Burton Process Flying V 155 (or 152) that’s currently only $277.20 at torpedo7.com.au!!!

A ridiculously killer price, a proven rocker/camber hybrid, and a nice stable ride that’s soft enough to ease into freestyle. Too easy.
Yeah u right about that chucky. Dc would be stiffer then my current board.
Have you both flexed the DC or are you commenting based on what each brand rates their own boards flex? Each brand has their own scale, don’t pay too much attention to it except in relation to their own range.
You shouldn’t really have too much trouble flexing the DC Lano. I went into a store yesterday and played with them. The Mega (rated stiffer) seemed softer than the Ply. Can you go view one somewhere Lano? I think if you could get your hands on one you could make a pretty easy decision on whether the Ply or Mega would be too stiff. Of course as you got better, and your legs got stronger it would become more easy anyway.
