Yeah just saw that although i believe it is actually better than last year in that i think it is the platinum pass (so access to summer activities) which weren’t included last year.
Oh but that bad thing is that you have to buy it now, in full. No deposit only.

Last year it was $50 more for the Platinum Pass (summer/winter lifts NO MTB, leisure center ++)
Just like it was $50 more for the skitube at Perisher.

I thought the new one is year round access?
Nope!
The year round aspect is that you get a winter lift pass and a summer access pass.
This advert confirms it.
Note is says “summer 2012/2013 pass”
The old platinum pass gave you access to the leisure centre (for example) year round!
