Canon 6D

I’m a little old school and maybe considered backward in thinking that;

Framing and composition are a considerable part of the art of photography. Any monkey can push a button then rely on a photo editing program to crop the good bits.
I don’t like it when after cropping my photos improve (I still use the cropped version). It’s the same grievance I have about digital photos and taking shot after shot while changing settings instead of using a light meter and brain to calculate the setting before pushing the button. IE: seeing the end product in your head - Framing, Composition, Film Speed, Shutter Speed, Aperture.

Cameras have surpassed the skills required to be a photographer that it comes down to who can afford the best gear. It’s a pity there aren’t 1hr photoshops on every corner anymore - I would gladly revert back to using my Canon A1, FD lenses and Slide film.

Ok Mr, “I’ll let Wildman race the older dude while I go at a girly pace”.
Just respect your seniors son - I’m a whole decade ahead of you for now. cheese

Why would one as mature as oneself, choose to go into battle against a younger and more skilful opponent?

Yes, I may win, but I also have a greater chance of injuring myself. I am sure you know all about that?  tongue wink

I’ll still be ollie  long after your body gives up cheese

A natural defiance against age.
I hear your point - the old bull and the young bull.

Younger; Yes.
Skillful; hmmm
No falls, no balls!
Body ain’t given up yet! (with the help of strapping tape) wink
Time will tell Azz. At the end of our shred days I’ll be proud to face saint Peter and describe the days I spent shredding opposed to the days spent dawdling.

Side Note: this week I began training to cross the Gibson desert on foot next August.
Dad passed down this analogy on life: “Don’t take the bull by the horns son, grab his balls AND HANG ON!”
