Just ordered an iPhone 5

They are such fun cars to drive, I very seriously considered a wide body sedan for a while but it’s just not that practical for me, if only they made a dual cab ute version ha ha ha.  Subaru haven’t made a ute for about 20 years though.

why a WRX? because they are COOL!

apart from that, I agree with you, oz.

We’re looking at cars in sweden for our 8-9mths we’ll be over there & looking to spend about $2000. We want something all wheel or 4wd with decent clearance. Can definitely live without it but it’d be nice. Found a sweeet turbo forester this morning but its advertised for the equivalent of 3200aud.

Freddy’s old ‘supercar’ (e.g bomb) that we had for the season when we were in sweden last time had power steering that didn’t work. One night we had a massive freeze (it was -30ish) and the next morning magically the power steering worked again! hahahaha LOL

The Brumby ute still gets good resale value even today!!!!!

I had the same motor in my first Subie, and it was bullet proof!!!!!

If they made a Van, I would’ve gladly got one instead of the sub par Merc Vito that I have now!!!!!

A few points on iPhone 5, since I am now in decision-making territory for my own next phone.  The CPU is better and it has an additional GPU chip (3 vs 2 in the 4S) so the guts are approx. 2x as powerful overall compared to the 4S.  The screen is new and according to an article I read on Gizmodo the other day, it has much more accurate colour reproduction and is better in sunlight than the SGS3.  I’ve heard mixed reports on the battery life while using LTE.  For those that don’t know, LTE is currently only for data, voice is still 3G.  The camera is improved but still a bit behind the SGS3.

IOS6 is nice and has some good features, especially on newer more powerful devices like the 4S and 5, however it does lack the customisation and openness of Android.  On the other hand, Apple has the upper hand in quality and range of apps.  If only they’d do widgets!

There have been some launch problems; cases scuffed (sometimes right out of the box), minor light leakage issue on the white version and reports of purple flares in bright daylight photos.

Probably the deal-breaker for me is the price.  I just don’t think I want to cough up $1K when I can get a SGS3 for under $600 or other options cheaper again.  Anyway, waiting patiently for the SGS3 4G, will decide after that.

Speaking of Suburu, I really want to buy a WRX.

Why a WRX?

All i can see is a hefty annual insurance bill for something that is not needed in city/day-to-day driving!

Ash’s car she got for her Skibum trial looks pretty good to me!

It’s fast and drives well. I like fast cars. That’s about it. cool grin

Don’t expect to be amazed when you buy a Subaru, just expect to get where ya wanna go!!!!! It’s a car!!!!! It was designed to do a certain job and that was to get you from A to B and in a safe manner, and it does it well!!!!!

I dont know about you, but the new Subaru STI spec r i testdrove amazed me, and if my job wasnt made redundant in Melbourne i was purchasing it the next week.

Thinking I might dip in to the kindle/e-reader market for my upcoming 10 months of traveling. Any recommendations? Trying to spend as little as possible. Anything anyone has come across that was total crap that I should avoid?

I’ve never actually used one - what size for these suckers is decent? in terms of hard drive and to hold?
