yeah pretty excited about it. Paying ever so slightly more than the other place (about $8pw) but we’ll easily save it in petrol money! This place is a fair bit more modern and still a good size with room for friends visiting. STOKED!

Nah we thought we were definitely going for the other place I posted…but then the landlords of this place wrote back to us, said they’d had cancellations and offered it to us for hire for the whole season. After a bit of negotiating with $$, we got a really good price. The equivalent of $188pw including electricity and water. That is definitely a win! Very stoked.

Yeah mate, I cannot wait!

I’ve got 4 weeks to go of uni and about 12,000 words left to write, so it doesn’t feel that close at the moment…but once that is finished we’ve got a month to pack up, chuck out/sell half of and then move the remaining stuff we want to keep down to sydney to my mumsy’s garage (thanks, mum!). We fly out November 27th.

I’m thinking I might start a little bloggy style thread and put up bits and pieces over the course of the season, for my own memories if no one else’s!

Next up is securing jobs and finding a car over there and hoping that my swedish residency comes through in the next month or so. If it gets to November and I haven’t heard anything I’m gonna start to freak out a little bit!

Just can’t wait to get there and be riding every day. The resort website put up a pic with snow there already the other day so I’m getting to stupid levels of excitement!

Yeah, we’ve been doin a diary whenever we go somewhere, then makin an iBook out of it when we get home!!!!!

A blog is also a great way for us to get a great perspective of Swedish Alpine too, as I’ve got no friggen clue about sweden!!!!!

yep I think I’ll definitely do it. I’ve got a fair few ideas of what I hope would be informative and interesting things I can post already, that I’ll jot down….but I won’t start it until uni finishes. Gotta get that monkey off my back!

I would love a Sweden thread!

Meanwhile, if you got a decent couch you are trying to sell, send me a picture and a price and I might be keen.

Otherwise, I’m going to Ikea…lol

alright well i’ve got at least 2 potential readers so sounds like a deal. haha

We got our couch from the lifeline shop for $60 in very good condition and its been great. Its got a beautiful pink flowery pattern and it has wheels for easy moving around. We’ll probably just donate it back there again like the good lefties we are   LOL  wink

Those shops are worth a look in for sure, TJ. Especially around your area on the north shore…lots of people who update their furniture for no real reason and give them to the salvos or whatever. Could easily save yourself some more money for snow trips that way! Just a suggestion smile

Stoked on the 3 days I spent paddling down the Australian classic whitewater river trip of the Snowy River. Was great weather, high levels and just great to be in the wilderness in a remote area away from the rat race
