Ok get out your 
I’m having a birthday whinge (if I don’t do it here things are going to get mighty uncomfortable around home)
Today started ok, slept until 9:30 and sleep was especially good after yesterdays unexpected results.
When I wake up PP was watching “The Mysterious Island” with the volume pretty loud - I was having cool dreams about volcanoes filled with gold and The Rock bouncing stuff off his pecks.
Expecting something special to happen (even a badly drawn birthday card) I wait in bed but NOTHING.
Dropped hints about wanting some food, even reduced it down to “I would really like some Oreo’s” but the only response “me too” - NOTHING.
Go inside to see mum and sister, I figure they will at least offer my a cup of tea - I hint at getting a coffee made - NOTHING (not even tea but they made themselfs one)
Go to fridge to make some breaky for myself, there’s no bacon, no bread. Mum grabs a bowl with one lamb chop left over from the kids dinner last night and hands it to me. I heat it in microwave and sit alone at the table and chew it.
When I finish my Birthday breakfast (of 1 leftover lamb chop reheated in microwave), mum tells me she is taking PP to buy me a present and what do I want but first needs to drop into work for an hour.
Spend they day on FB and BW soaking up all the birthday cheer I can. Clean the pool, water the garden, pick up after kids and clean out shelves in PP’s bedroom.
Eventually get the shits when mum hasn’t returned from work to take PP shopping to get me a present (she left at 11am). About to leave to go find mum at 3pm to get $10 off her so I can at least go buy some macca’s because all I’ve eaten all day is 1 lamb chop and a few marshmallows I could get off PP (under great protest from PP - like they were hers and I wasn’t allowed to eat them) when sister turns up all grumpy and bites my head off for asking where mum is. I get some dollars off sis and take PP to macca’s.
Return and mum is home, I put my feet up on lounge and find a show I like expecting her to take PP to buy me a present (I’m not meant to know). Soon enough PP comes in and decides I want to watch “Spongbob” instead of “Reinventing Leonardo Da Vinci”
This is when I start to crack it!
I go ask mum what’s going on with PP buying me a present - I get told PP now doesn’t want to buy me a present. That no-one wants to buy me a present and I should accept that because we are going to dinner tonight.
OK, I take a breath and go have a whinge on BW.
No sympathy needed, I’m middle aged now and guess this is what I should come to expect.
In all honesty everyone at my place is broke due to making solicitors rich - PP has mentioned she didn’t want to get me present so we could save some money.
But even being offered a cup of tea would give me less ammo to whinge about.

This piece of nicorette seems to have calmed me down and I’m about to get into a big, deep, hot spa bath.
