Geez, scary stuff. Hope she’s ok - countless times myself and friends have done the same thing, walking up that street and others nearby after a night out!! Feel for fer family 
Seems that a few people are starting to come forward now, which is awesome. At first the husband was looking a bit sketchy, as a few of his details were out of whack with facts, but i think he might be in the clear now. Im hoping that more people from the camera footage speak up so either she is found or the family can gain closure.
The Husband will stay on the watch list for a while yet!!!!!

It’s horrible and it’s sad that she might be gone now. This can happen to any one at any time of the night or day. I used to walk an hour to get home after a big night or just out.

A man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of ABC radio employee Jill Meagher.
Homicide detectives arrested the 41-year-old Coburg man on Thursday afternoon in relation to the Brunswick woman’s disappearance.
He is in custody assisting police with their inquiries, a police statement says.

Can’t even begin to imagine what the husband, family and her poor co-worker who offered to walk her home are going through right now.
It’s not looking good.
Because the media has cained this story over the last week (it’s been the top story on news.com.au all week) how is anyone that gets arrested or charged going to get a fair trial? Now I don’t understand the legal system other than what I’ve seen in the movies but I’d assume that we have trails with jurors here. With it all over the media how do they find any people that aren’t going to be biased because of the coverage. I mean even tonight there is news reports of a guy getting charged before he has been? Now if he is the guy, then for her family I hope he rots in jail…but unless its a watertight case won’t it be hard to prove because there has been a media witchhunt just to find the bad guy? Won’t it hamper the police case?

Such a shocking shocking crime
I have frequently walked those distances on my own late at night.
Dark i know people like to be disgusted at the media but they also played a MAJOR part in this guy being caught and charged (circulating the CCTV and pleading for the public to come forward with info). But yes the fair trail thing is a point.
Although I would go into most situation like this with my mind on guilty not innocent whether I had heard media reports or not. But I doubt this guy is going to plead innocent, he lead police to her grave - not sure how he could plead innocent after doing that.
Such scum in the world!
