I upgraded my ancient 3GS to IOS6 today and I can still get mail from my gmail accounts.
Accessing gmail via the Google app also seems to work fine.

I heard the rumor on twitter from someone who i suspect upgrade their phone…
ios6 is working fine for my gmail as well 
Just doesn’t use google maps…
Though I still want a Samsung 
I just got an HTC desire z as my old sony ericsson xperia thing died….and really can’t imagine what anyone would want to do on another phone that I can’t do on mine.
I’m lovin my iPhone!!!!!

Also has my first play on an iPhone 5 today. I will admit it is very pretty and lightweight but doesn’t seem worth all the fuss that’s been going on with it
So my iPhone 5 arrived a couple of days ago. I’d tell you how it is but it’s still sealed in the box. 
I should probably open it soon.

I believe the youtube app is no longer integrated into the stock software install in IOS6, you now need to manually download/install the app from the store. From what I’ve read at this stage this is fine for iPhone users but there currently isn’t an app available for iPads.

We all kind of looked at him a bit shocked last night when he announced that it was in the other room still in the box!
