Looks the goods, i have been trying to think up something for the garage for next year, and some way to store the snowboards and wakeboards
There’s so many different storage options out there if you search
The one that I’ve seen that I like the most if you have the room is this one
There’s also options for storing them hanging from your roof etc that I’ve seen as well
Many are simple enough to build yourself so if you google snowboard storage racks I think there’s a few designs you could easily copy
Yeah i have been looking around a fair bit on the net lately. Only problem is how many of the bloody things i need to store haha
Im thinking something like you have posted but with closer rods to mount 2 base to base to save some space so that sort of rack would actually hold 6 boards in the same amount of space. The wakeboards are going to be the issue though, as the bindings are much larger than the ones on the snowboards.
So new house has an awesome little back shed with a workman’s bench in it which I want to turn into a space where I can wax my snowboards.
I want to get some clamps or something so that my boards can lie flat for waxing, however I’ve got no idea when it comes to this stuff. Any suggestions as to what I need to get from bunnings?
You could buy some tuning vices, or just make your own out of some blocks of wood drilled into place.
I would look at getting two decent sized blocks of wood. You could then cut out a section of each block in the middle for holding your board vertical (on it’s side) for edge maintenance etc. A bit of tough rubber padding epoxied onto the top for grip and protecting your topsheet. That would give you a pretty decent tuning bench I think.
Quick sketch below. You would have to rotate the blocks 90 degrees so you can’t see the slits from the front. So you can lie place the board edge in the slits, running along the length of the bench.

Basically you would ignore the folding bench bit and you would then have two options. If you want to make it removable you could keep the long length of wood on the bottom and simply use some g-clamps to clamp it to your bench whenever you needed it.
For a more permanent setup you could scrap the long length and just build the two end blocks and secure them to your bench.

But I’ll still post up pics of my Board Vise that I got from Canada!!!!! Similar can be purchased from good Boardstores over here too, and will work out cheaper due to P&H!!!!!

I haven’t done anything with this yet, it’s going to be a summer project. I like DRC13’s set up also, plus side, it’s cheap.
They’re made by Tools4Boards I think?????
To be honest, I can’t remember how much they were though!!!!!
P&H would be the downfall if ya have to get them from OS, so maybe optin for another brand through a local board store will be the best shot!!!!!
