Don’t mind at all, Mizu. I figured it out. We’re paying 5000 swedish kronor a month, which works out to $178 per week total (give or take a dollar or two depending on the exchange rate) and it includes electricity and water!
Last season we did (granted it was in a different resort) we paid 4500kr a month for a glorified shoebox.
This one is out in the woods a little bit and heaps bigger. 8km to the nearest slopes, 20km to the ones we’ll be riding most of the time and 38km to a whole different resort in Norway (Trysil). So excited!
2 bedrooms (for family to visit etc 4 extra beds all together!), big lounge room with a super comfy looking corner lounge & fireplace, separate kitchen & dining, drying cupboard in the hall, enclosed bbq area out the back. Floor warming in the kitchen and lounge.
and I’ll be buying apples and hoping we can get some moosey visitors!

Yeah for sure I want them around! I think you only get in to trouble if you somehow end up wandering between a mum and her baby.
I’ve seen a couple in the wild but nothing I’d call a proper encounter, they were just running off the road as we came around a corner etc. Freddy has come home from nightshift at 3.30am and there was two in our backyard! He called me and woke me up but they heard my phone ringing and got scared and skidaddled! :-(
Also gotta make sure you pick up the apples after a while, quite a few instances of people not picking up all the apples that have fallen off their tree and the apple juice ferments…some poor moosey comes up and eats them, gets sozzled and then goes on a drunken rampage!
Also hoping for more squirrel, badger, lemming, reindeer, deer, beaver, hare and hedgehog sightings….a lynx would be cool, too! There are bears, wolves and wolverines around too but it would be difficult to find some of those, I think!
I think a 5 month TR would be pretty tedious but I might make a Sälen thread and write some updates etc hopefully! It might be pretty tedious too but hopefully in the small doses you don’t notice as much ahahahaha
