Or maybe you can get the Burton Barracuda? According to Gamblor it’s pretty soft, Kazu and Mu killed in on the Barracuda last season
There’s no saying a park board can’t be a good powder board, what is true though is that a soft board won’t be a great jump board.
Soft boards = good on jibs, and fun in powder. Not so good big mountain or kickers
Stiffer boards = harder to press and butter. But more stable at high speeds and on landings.
Important things to think about here; to what level are you going to be riding each style? (large kickers and big drops?), and do you want flex or stability more?

My jp walker feels so stif sometimes…........ I want some thing thats going to feel a bit lose on the feet!
I like the lose feel, my first board was a “jermey jones” than the stepchild… I rode the YES “TAS MEN” at the shred last year and love it for the time that i was on it….

The YES Basic would be a perfect choice I reckon!!!!!
But only one that has a sintered base!!!!!
I sometimes regret not gettin one for myself as my second ride!!!!!
Yeah wish they had stuck with a sintered base, it would be a very strong contender!
I think even with the extruded base it’s still a contender. Romain still rides it everywhere from gnarly lines to cliff drops. Or maybe you can try the Greats?
Does romain ride a production model though?
I say get a Nug! Most fun you’ll ever have on a board. Great in pow too!
Yeah, I reckon Romain would have custom makes as do most pro’s!!!!!
And the Basic is a lot softer than the Greats, so it would make a better partner to his already stiff Stepchild?????
I still suggest looking at the K2 WWW for what you’re saying - it’s soft, you can get it rockered/flat/cambered plus it has a 3 degree base bevel, so it feels extra loose… It should be available as a demo from most stores that stock k2 as well.

I used the Nug (146) at the shred. It was heaps of fun. Great for buttering and goofing around. I didn’t feel safe at all at speed though. No stability. I think it was mainly just the tiny size. There may be a bigger one that would suit me more. I normally ride a 160. What size is your Nug, Gamblor?
I have the 150 & I normally ride 162-164. That was my first day on it and I wanted to hit under the lift line before anyone else but I didn’t have time to run to the car to get the Sherlock, so after testing it on some side pow I decided to risk it and hit the drops. Boy was I pleasantly surprised!
I find that I can go fast on it, jump and ride pow, so it fills the no new snow resort fun/park role in my quiver.
The new Root is slightly better though - I love the flattop tech in it

5’6” and 160lbs? What are you, American? Use Metric!
When I was in Canada I would have been 60kg, riding both a cambered and a rockered 152 in waist deep powder - which is also the length I used to ride in the park. Now I ride a 155 for park and have a rockered 156 for pow, which I will also be using in Japan.
You could get away with the 154 keeping you up if you’re not planning on anything huge, but 156 should be the minimum for larger drops etc. I’m basing this recommendation on the fact I’m your height, but about 5kg’s lighter - check out the Rossignol Experience (Xavier De la Rue’s board) in a 159. I’ve ridden it in a 161 this year and it is a sick board - But only a powder and big mountain board, it is not a versatile board.
The TBT on Bataleon’s supposedly helps with float - but like rocker they have different levels of TBT and I believe the ET to be on the smaller scale.
