would love to have a look at your crime statistics, dole rates, incidence of domestic violence, drug use etc….all the things that people generally associate with the worst members of the society. As I said, much bigger overall problem than a one-off riot from a bunch of disaffected, marginalised people. In fact, the number of bogans who attack police & require pepper spray to be handled etc fairly regularly doesn’t seem to get reported for some reason.

I saw them on the news last night as they came walking out of the courts, and they had an arrogant air about them and they looked as though they were somehow winners after all of this!!!!! It was actually more disgusting to watch than the actual riots!!!!!

There are some wild generalisations and accusations being thrown around about a religion here. For the most part the Islamic community are quiet and loving. From my understanding their preach peace and tolerance just like other religions. But on occasion there are extreme people with extreme views and we cant just point at one group.
What happened on the weekend and even overseas was/is disgusting behaviour by a minority of a minority. And the fact is that we ourselves can and have shown the exact same behaviour at times. Cronulla and Redfern riots anyone?
So lets be the bigger person and demonstrate appropriate behaviour to guide those who have come from violent/different backgrounds. Lets not behave like other countries who fight within their own land or with their neighbours. Lets not have our dissatisfaction of the behaviour of a few turn into a hatred of a many.
Sure, they “preach peace and tolerance” - as long as you’re a muslim - or if you’re not, right up until the moment they decide you’re in their way. At that stage, WATCH OUT!!!

The thing about this particular ‘minority group’ is they’re as insular as some cults - so although their ‘moderate’ members won’t publicly condone this behaviour, they will NOT step up and do what really needs to be done within their own ranks.
