By valid I just meant that you can justifiably take them everywhere. It’s not recommending to someone to take a gyrator down icy steeps.
As to what aspect of the flat camber I think is good? To tell you the truth I don’t know. The three flat camber boards I’m thinking of: burton root, k2 ultra dream and smokin kyle clancy all felt great. The smokin had mega pop (but so do all their boards). I would consider getting the ultra dream for my all mountain deck and the root was just amazing. What exactly made all so good? Beats me!
hmmm pretty useless post. Sorry I can’t be more coherent. I guess I’m not trying to be the standard bearer for flat camber, was just telling Lester not to completely count it out
Some people ride rockered boards all mountain, so flat profiles are surely better at handling ice and steeps?????
I see it as the all round compromise, and just another style of hybrid type all rounder really!!!!!
so my procrastination led me to miss out on the one mag tek which was a bit of a pisser since it was there the day before i’d decided to buy it, oh well never mind.

sounds like you’re dropping off cornices.
Anyways, as long as your board has a tail, you will be fine on any type of board. Fishes and Hovercrafts have small tails, but they can still stomp drops as long as you land over your board and not leaning back.
I wasn’t selling flat bases to you. I just said that flat based boards are still valid for all mountain, and I pointed out that the K2 Ultra dream is a board I would consider buying (and it’s flat). Mind you, my other boards are either cambered, or have burtons v-rocker or flying v rocker. Oh wait, I just bought a new k2 split which is flat with rockered tips.
at the end of this video, there is a nice drop.
Would love to know how you go with the Panoramic. Really want to get one

Did you not ask them to call the Rossi Rep to see if there is another in the country?
Flying V or Basic out of those. Your choice what you go with based on flex - although, coming back to ice again, the Flying V has the frostbite edge which will be an advantage. The Templar would be fine too, maybe a tad too big unless you feel like you have a lot of leg and core muscle.

Ended up with a one magtek 156. Rang the shop after a shorter Templar and they had another tucked away out back. Stoked.
Awesome man, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the board.
