Triple Base Tech? Bataleon
I have a 2012 Bateleon ET 156W and love it, you can still catch an edge as mentioned by i love being able to rock from edge to edge with ease, and have found it really easy to edge hard at speed. Definately reccommend them as a board!
any experience in pow with it?

Any complaints about the top sheet on Bataleon boards? I saw a few reports about cracks being caused from bindings is this something I should be concerned about ??
Also if anyone have any suggestions one which one between the Riot and ET would be better for practicing jumps in the park and then hitting the backcountry for some pow and cliff drops please share some info.. Been hearing good stiff about The ET but not much about how it handles in the deep stuff.. They are basically the same board just the Riot is stiffer so I don’t know 
I’m just concerned that the ET might be too soft going over some of the choppy stuff you encounter out there and more for hitting stuff in the park.

Don’t think the ET is going to be too soft for anything. From what I’ve heard, it is definitely down the stiffer end of the spectrum of park boards available. haven’t heard anything bad about their topsheets. Pretty sure if you search any company, there will be complaints like that though…sometimes it just happens.
Yeah can’t say I’ve ever heard anything about topsheet issues on them. Mate in Whistler who has been riding bataleon for years hasn’t ever had any issues with topsheets and he mainly rides nothing but park, mainly rails aswell which is the most taxing thing on any board. As Cords has said, you’ll always find someone with something negative to say about a brand of board. It’s only when you see it over and over again that you’d actually take any notice of it.
Thanx for the info, yeah in the park I doubt I will run into any issue I’m asking more about the all mountain part of it, steeps, speed, carves and cliff drops just wondering about the stiffer board of the two (ET or Riot) .. Not to mention the difference in stiffness in pow I would think softer is better atlleast in that area no?

bataleons are not as soft as you may think i was worried my airobic was gonna be a noodle but the camber keeps it snappy. the eviltwin is a gereat park board you can take to the whole mountain

I’m 5’6” 165lbs I was recommended a 154 ET just making sure if I might need it in a wide 156w? I have a size 10 boot

It’s not that it was a “bad” board but it turned out to be the opposite of what I wanted.
If you’re going to buy one, you better be looking for a super loose, non aggressive board. And I mean REALLY loose.
I had the “Freestyle TBT” base. But I would like to try the Jib TBT which has a wider center base. It might not be so loose. But I would def demo one next time if possible, cause I should never have bought that thing. I was just too curious.
I will say though, it had the best pop I’ve ever experienced in a board and very fun to butter. Not as good on rails imo (even though everyone says otherwise) because you can’t build pressure in the edges to spin off the rails.
All in all, WAY too loose for my tastes, but wicked pop and fun to butter.

Thanx for the input, you sound just like me when it comes to being to curious but I can’t help it, I wonder how the Twin TBT compares and the ET is a bit stiffer, other then the loose feeling any other feedback? landing jumps? pow? .... I can image the pop with the camber and all just trying to get somewhat of a idea what im getting into. to be on the safe side I will be picking up YES. The Greats right along with this one so I got a solid backup board just in case all I hear is good things though well until you posted that but I do appreciate it… any other info would be greatly appreciated

Hellz yeahh Rider26 sold me on the Greats weeks back and I can’t find anything wrong with that board all i hear is Great things so I know it will be a sweet board plus the NOW bindings with that board I mean thats just icing on the cake so yeah definitely picking that up
Recently I stumbled across the Bataleon tech and its something Im definitely interested in and i keep hearing you gotta put a good amount of time on the Bataleon Evil Twin to get the feel of the tech so thats what im going to do. I would buy one at a time but then if I buy one then the other sells out and im screwed with my luck.

Update on my 152 Evil Twin….
Well other then the thread issues I had in the beginning that I mentioned in the other forum, that was resolved by being super careful putting in the screws in and working them in for about a hour the board works and I gotta mention Bataleon was willing to take the board and have it checked out with a week turn around just to make sure everything is right with it, I held off to see how it works and see how the thread function out there so that’s that..
But I finally got to take it out today, now mind you I live in the Midwest (US) so weather was a bit warm and I was riding on man made snow that was somewhat melting under me but I couldn’t wait any longer.

First off I gotta say this board is stable at speed for being short 152 it’s rides like a dream, I don’t know why people say it takes time to get use to the TBT, I was flying down the hill on the first pass with no issues, really easy turn initiation, truely catch free, rides perfect switch, I hit some small kickers and landings were great even the scatchy ones. I gotta say the board got great pop that’s for sure, after the first day I don’t have a bad thing to say about it but knowing me I definitely will find something I always do but for now it’s a dream.
Didn’t experience icey conditions so I don’t want to judge the edge hold quiet yet also didn’t hit any rails, or med-large kickers because they didn’t have them setup yet will definitely update when I get more info..

The Twin TBT that you have is the “medium” TBT width. I had the freestyle TBT which is the thinnest center base. I want to try the twin or better yet the Jib TBT which is wider again.
In icey conditions I found the edge hold really slippery, so I’d like to see what u think of the twin TBT on icey days.
Or Cable you said you have the airobic (which is the one i wanted but didn’t have my size). How does it go on ice compared to a different type of board?
I was really devo that I didn’t like the Goliath, particularly because it popped SO NICELY. I’m talking epic pop.
I’ll be on my first camber board in 4 years this season. Everyone says camber has the most pop, but I have a feeling the bataleons might have even more!?
My random guess at this is the the pressure is just like a camber but even more focused into the center bases in the nose and tail.
I’ll try to remember to get back to this thread and tell u which has better pop. My new Arbor Relapse or the Bataleon Goliath.
