Stoked we found a Kelpie breeder last night that breeds “City Kelpies”!
I think I mentioned in the pets thread a while back that we really wanted a Kelpie, but were worried that we might not have enough space for one.
This breeder specifically breeds Kelpies for pets, as opposed to working Kelpies. They’re far more suited for households, and are quite happy to stay in small yards and houses. Not that our backyard is tiny, but we just wanted to be responsible.
So excited! The only thing is, they’ve had their last little for the year, so we’re going to have to wait till somewhere between March and July next year.

Nice one, I’m sure you’ll still treat it with some long walks and ball games in the park.
If you find an apartment friendly Labrador breeder let me know! I would love to get a lab and it would have a great life living so close to walking tracks and the beach but it’s just not feasible without a yard…

Yeah for sure mate. We live right near some national park, rec parks, and walking tracks, so the plan is I’ll run him a few nights a week. Ideally it’ll encourage me to run myself, and take the dog with me, but at the very least I’ll take him to an open park and let him run and fetch or whatever.
You’re in Syd yeah? I wouldn’t really know of any breeders up there, although my brother has a lab. I’ll mention it to him.

Yeah I’m in Sydney but don’t worry I only made the comment tongue in cheek. I’ve wanted a dog for years and just melt at the site of puppies especially labs (same can’t be said for smelly kids though!) but I believe dog ownership is a solid commitment and my current lifestyle/location just wouldn’t be fair on the dog.

Whats even better about this is that we get the week off so i dont have to worry about a game next week whilst at the shred!!!

Manly = The only team that I want to lose every game.
Closely followed by Brisbane, Melbourne, Bulldogs and the Roosters.
But this year I want Melbourne to win so I win $100 in footy tipping lol.
Lol our footy tipping comp ended at the end of the normal season and now we run a finals sweeps. Didn’t go in it this year though cos I’m sick of donating money haha
Ours is pick the team you think will win the comp at the start of the season = 5 points.
At the end of the season, First is on x points (entered late, no winning team), 2nd is on x-4 points (bulldogs win, he wins the comp) and I’m 3rd on x-5 points (with Melbourne as my team to win, I’ll equal first.)
