Hey Guys I know im planning a little to far ahead but better to get a jump start, I will be heading to Whistler early to mid March 2013 and I wanna hit some back-country for sure, but I have a dilemma, I will definitely going to take my bro with but he is not as experienced so hitting the back-country with him is out. My question / request is anyone going to be in Whistler during that time that wouldn’t having another snowboard tag along, last thing I would do is hit the back-country without a partner… I got all back-country gear short of a airbag backpack and depending on what exactly is the plan I will pick one up to be on the safe side.
Okay so I had to read that post several times to get what you wanted from the above post.
Please let me know if I am right.
You want to know if anyone else is in Whis March 2014 and keen to do backcountry with YOU and not someone to babysit your brother on the groomers?
Hahaha yeah someone or a group that i can come along with to hit the back country I’m not worried about him he’s all grown up so I’m sure he will be fine and there’s always ski portal out so they can help him out if need be.
There’s a bunch of backcountry courses/tours you can do in Whistler. This is actually the best way to be introduced to the backcountry. Might also be the perfect opportunity to do your avalanche course.
Hey!
Yeah great opportunity to do your level 1 or 2 ast..
I would recommend http://www.coastmountainguides.com/
Guillaume is a great guide and runs lots of courses in the winter!
