Yeh, where I ride we dont really have runs like that (you mean like A Line?). Most the stuff I rode was steeps and rock gardens, tree roots and with a few berms
Yeah whistlers a pretty good place to ride your bike. A-line, dirt merchant and freight train are all good runs for flying through the air…good times.
I have a some pretty sweet trails a few hundred metres from my house. More XC than DH, but still a lot of fun with some decent DH parts.
A mate and I used to ride it every few weeks. When I bought the house I was so rapt to be moving right next to the trails, but I haven’t ridden it once since.
Whistler is the dream… Queenstown Bike Park was the next best thing that was affordable for me. went at the end of last year when it opened. some crazy smooth rhythms and berms, really quick and flowy tracks. I can’t recommend it highly enough. I reckon we did more riding in a week than you would normally do in a season. I wore out a brand new set of brake pads :/
I’ve got a friend who works at the whistler bike park. He looooooves his life!
