Hey Kimmy, something I tell newbs to snowboarding who look less comfortable on their toeside edge compared to their heelside - the further you get over on your toes, the less distance you have to fall.

Perhaps another way to look at it - would you rather fall from the top rung of a ladder, or the bottom?
