Has anyone tried this, it’s dope, i’m in no way trying to be sensationalist or provocative but a substantial part of me keeps telling the rest that it’s better than snowboarding and at the moment that part has control of my fingers.
Never tried it but my mates and I have been talking about giving it a go in the summertime at thredbo
I use to race, just in clubbies.. have ridden Awaba, Ourimbah, Thredbo and Queenstown Bike Park, (NZ). Its a sick sport, but like snowboarding, fairly expensive. Where are you riding?
I ride in summer. It’s awesome fun. Definitely not snowboarding, but one of the next best things you can do when there isn’t any snow. After skating of course!
I love downhilling but it is dangerous and I dont know anyone who downhills who hasnt suffered injuries and breaks. I broke my collarbone downhilling and now it is filled wit more titanium than bone.
But I do love it, but for me not worth risking and notbeing able to board. And I was finding bike maintanence too much of a pain in the ass
^ This.
Anyway, I’m just not a fan of DH bikes. I find them to be heavy and cumbersome/unwieldy. I have heaps mor fun pointed downhill on my XC bikes. It’s slower, but still a thrill.
. . . now it is filled wit more titanium than bone.
I always had a sneaking suspicion that K2 was part cyborg.
Yeah most people have had atleast one serious crash..I’ve seen a few bad ones.. My brother has done his collarbone 3 times, it just healed in time for our NZ snow trip (luckily!)..
It is crazy fun, but you do gotta be careful on the harder runs. I’ve done all the trails at Keystone Colorado, wiped out pretty good on 2 different Black runs- once involving me do a pretty spectacular superman (thankfully) right over a major tree stump
I’m probably just too much of a pussy.

You mean there is actually something more dangerous than you on a snowboard??????
Yeh me flying over rock on a 2 wheels at high speed!
Did you see “The Dan Show” and the little bonus feature i put in just for you?
Was that the bit at the end? didnt have speakers so couldnt hear what was going on
it is pretty dangerous but you can decide the level of risk and the speed you go. Hitting flowy jump runs all the way down whistler mountain is amazing!
It’s very like riding terrain park on a snowboard I find, just having to step up and commit to stuff….
