I’m after information on the snowboard brands in Thredbo equipment rental.
Could not find information on their website, so I know they have “recreation snowboard range and Performance snowboard range”
I’m going with performance snowboard range but wanted know what brands they have in equipment stock.
So I need research on available brand for board types such as freeride and freestyle, flexible, etc…
Quick respond would be much appreciated
Silent as far as I know Thredbo have an agreement with Rossi, all their gear is Rossi and it is special rental stuff only. Nothing fancy no “name” of boards you would be familiar with in the Rossi range.
If you want to pick a specific board as stated above you will have to go with a Demo board from the Demo Centre.
Yeh man, rental boards are just crap rental boards.
I would rent from anywhere other than Thredbo. Hit up the snowboard stores in Jindy or Rhythm in Cooma. You will get MUCH better equipment.
Rhythm would be my suggestion for sure.
I understand what you mean, unfortunately this package we had good deal “kids stay & free ski” which I have 3 kids…
So this apart of agreement we must use Thredbo equipment.
Yes if you reckon they’re crap and just give me the brand names
Hi Silent.
You don’t have to use Thredbo stuff (what if you had your own?) It just means you will have to pay extra to rent elsewhere.
But really for the kids they will be fine on Thredbo stuff (or do you only get free rentals for them if you rent? If so I still say go with Rythum)
Okay the above is probably confusing - Basically don’t stress if you do decided to use Thredbo gear you will still have a good holiday.
But if the gear is really important to you the I think it is worth the extra money to rent off mountain. Thredbo can’t force you to use their stuff (as I said what if you had your own gear) you will still get the rest of your package.
Cheers Oz
Be honestly my wife has organised for a large group and reckon it would be easier for everyone to hire equipment at the resort. because we will travelling in private bus charter (28 seat coaster) probably no room for equipment in bus. Another reason we have limit time to stop one place for groceries etc before final leg to Thredbo. So true the important thing we wanted stress free…:-)
So this would be my 5th snow trip to Thredbo and I’m sure I seen many various snowboard brands at rental. cant remember what were they…
Last year I had Formula Arbor not bad board, I like to taste different brand.
Herence I’m after the brand names they have in the stock…
Anyway I checked Rythum on website and saw good deal, I’ll remember for next time
Ah I wonder if this was for your big group.
Stick with Thredbo! You will have a good trip regardless!
Hey Silent, one thing about renting snow gear - give yourself the best possible chance by giving yourself the best possible choice. That means making sure you get in there before the peak times like Saturday mornings, Sunday afternoons and Monday mornings. If these times are unavoidable, get in there as early as possible, so you’re not stuck with what’s left over.
