Unrucky! The rare occasions that I’ve got parking fines, I console myself with thinking of the squillion times I’ve parked and not paid and got away with it, and I come out way in front! $232 is a lot though…but no stopping is no stopping!
that is true cords, but what shits me is that i saw him getting off this bike and i quickly jumped in the car and moved it in pay zone area. However he still came over. I tried been nice and he just didn’t care he just wrote the ticket and gave it to me, lol i turned around and told him THERE IS TRULY NO NICE PEOPLE LEFT IN THIS WORLD he started to talk to me i turned around went got my coffee and set int he car and drove off…
I don’t think there is much point being grumpy at him…yes he maybe could have let you off…but the reality is that the poor bastard probably gets commission and spends all day having people angry at him, so no reason to see your case as particularly special…You parked in the wrong spot and he pinged you for it. Unrucky but not too much to complain about there, just accept you parked in the wrong spot and happened to get done for it, this time! Not much blame on the inspector, I don’t think.
nah not really blaming, i know what i did was wrong but far out sometimes its nice to be let off.
But i agree cords you do wrong you pay for it so yeah. I guess just pissed off at my self and everything else lol.

yeah don’t get me wrong, I do feel for you…as I said, just unlucky at the turn of events…but when money is especially tight you’ve gotta do your best to create your own luck and avoid the possibility

I totally disagree! Parking pigs have a CHOICE whether or not to book you - their commissions and quotas are NO excuse!!! They are able to exercise discretion - and if they CHOOSE not to when it’s clear the amount of the fine by no means equals the ‘crime’, they DESERVE to get what’s coming to them!!!

If there is a no stopping zone and you park there, you’ve broken a pre-existing rule, of which you are aware of the consequences that come in the form of fines. If a parking inspector happens to catch you then I see no issue with him giving you the fine. I would hold out hope, but never expect one of these dudes to turn a blind eye. Yes he has a choice, but so did Lanox when he parked & he happened to make the wrong one. I don’t see any particular reason for giving mercy in this specific case. Why would he?
Sorry, but I see no correlation in the morality stakes between giving someone a parking fine and assassins, nazis or baby seal clubbers….and I never will.

Personally I like in my area that parking inspectors come around - if we had no metered parking it would be a free for all and I would have a long walk to my car.
And the reason a no stopping zone is so hi is that usually a no stopping zone is for a safety reason, no standing is less of a fine as it is more of a convenience thing vs safety.

These “rules” are made purely to financially profit from people’s misfortune - they are EXTORTION, pure and simple. Anybody who willingly engages in the extortionate enforcement of these fines is bottom-feeding SCUM - and they DESERVE to be treated as such!!!
The more gullible sheeple allow these extortionists to get away with their underhanded behaviour, the more these “rules” will be introduced!!! Blindly condoning this extortion makes you part of the problem.
