The tall gear is kinda cool, but only to a point…it can definitely be over done….when the tall comes half-way down your thighs and heading towards the knees, it looks a bit ridiculous. Also, tall hoody with skinny pants is definitely not anything I’d call cool….but I’ve never been cool anyway.

The style you’re talking about, nthn, has never been something I’ve been particularly into, either, but I certainly wouldn’t think it had anything to do with masculinity or sexual preference…

The tall hoodies are functional in that on warm bluebird days, you don’t really need a waterproof jacket but having something that covers a good percentage of your butt helps to not get snow in your back etc. Most people I know who wear these don’t really stack it that much, and don’t sit down to strap in to their bindings, so aren’t really in too much danger of getting sopping wet.

Tight figure hugging clothing has traditionally been the preserve of women or very flambouyant gay men hence my comment. It would appear that emulating that clothing style and pairing it with a bouffant hairdo, 80’s sunnies and a down in the mouth look is what passes for cutting edge cool with todays youth. I think I prefer the camo and cargo pant and grunge look of my generation, at least it was masculine!

Tall clothing does not serve a functional purpose that is not already covered by the vast array of clothing options currently available? Your bum is cold? Well pull up your f**ken pants einstein!

Chicks dont sag their pants like those emo’s do in skinny leg jeans, it is just an extra layer for staying warm… that is my opinion anyway

i have a few “tall” tees for riding in, but the arent anything ridiculously long. If anything they just look like slightly longer, normal size tees.

Anything too baggy and long just looks f*cking retarded

This. I saw someone at mid station a couple weeks ago and I reckon his hoodie was around his knees.

There’s also the point that after years of wanna-be, try-hard skiers desperately copying everything snowboarding related - do we REALLY want to be copying THEM???

The BW Tall Tee was a nice length on Dan83 LOL

Any longer and he would have been in tool category IMO LOL

But Dan is pretty tall so it will be interesting to see what it looks like on other people…

Yeah, it started as a ‘nu-skool’ skier thing. Definitely nothing i want to be a part of.

Meh, it’s all about personal taste. Maybe I’m just not ‘nu-skool kool’ enough? Besides if everyone shared my taste, and all wore what I sometimes wear, it’d look like a rodeo clown convention out there.
