Snowboarding Photography Contest 2012 - Closes: Oct 14
I’ve been snowboarding and taking photos for about 10 years now.
However, this season is the first time I’ve had the chance to combine the two, and I’m loving it!

No HDR, just some contrast and colour balance. Not sure if that counts as editing? I mean, technically yes, of course it’s been edited, but nothing has been photoshopped into or out of the image. So should I flag it as being an edited picture?
If it’s just contrast and balance, then I’d keep it here. If you changed the picture in ways with photoshop, then editing.
This one looks less epic, but I like how the top half is bright, the bottom half is dark, and the snowboarder is somewhere in between, both in terms of lighting and composition!

Hey all! I am SnoPics girlfriend and new to this forum. Despite never posting before I am just starting out in a bit of photography myself so love seeing the pics uploaded. I am seriously amazed at the amount of talent that is out there!!! Already this season there have been some wicked photos entered so I can see that the competition will be another tough one!
I just wanted say for those of you who were inquiring about a thread for SnoPics earlier on in this forum. As a result of this fantastic competition, SnoPics photography has really taken off!!!! Thanks Boardworld! Thus he has just set up a facebook site http://www.facebook.com/SnoPics, so you can follow his weekly shots on there. He is also in the midst of designing a website.. due to be launched next month.
Anyway just thought I would let you know. Good luck in the competition and keep the shots coming!!
