the Devo thread!!

I spent 6hrs on the phone to DoDo trying to get a decent speed.
After all that and 2 Telstra technicians we finally are getting up to 3mbs.

But what a pita!

we get about 380kbps at best on our ADSL1 but that does just nicely. Decide a movie in the arvo, whack it on and its read an hour later to watch!

If it takes longer to download than to watch, it’s too slow raspberry

I don’t really understand the internet speeds thingy all I know is apparently ours is mega slow for being within 500m of the exchange.

haha well we can’t get ADSL2 here anyway and even if we could, they have 1 year minimum contract lengths with exetel…6mth contract for ADSL1 works out perfectly for us cos it runs out just before we head off to Sweden in November….which I can’t wait for because the net is super quick, everywhere there!
Whoever thinks the NBN is a waste of money has not lived in a country with that kind of infrastructure, its so good and worth every cent!

Devo that I walked into the tow bar of our new car when loading the groceries into the boot at the shops, before. I was going too fast and my body folded over once I’d hit the obstruction and I swear it felt like I bent my tibia! (shinbone) So painful and I just half lay in the boot of the car and couldn’t even make any noise for about a minute. hahaha would have been funny to watch probably but hurt like a certain kind of mother that I shall not describe!

Worst part is that I don’t really show bruises, so the only sympathy I’ll get will be from myself! haha Got a nice lump on it already, though.

OUCH cords (sorry to admit I did giggle at your description LOL )

I smacked my head on the boot at Selwyn on Sunday, still very very painful to touch!

Ouch COrds!!

Yeah can’t wait for NBN.

I just got an email asking me to upgrade (for free) to BoB2. Problem is for my “free” upgrade i have to sign a new 2 year contract. No thanks. Would rather keep my options open for future technology! (its my experience that when they give stuff for free its because it is about to become obsolete. Well prior to the end of your contract!)  My current speeds are okay for me (sorry everyone else who is suffering!)

Even if you don’t fully fix it, make sure you at least patch it up enough to stop it delaminating.
