Everyone loves a good, scary shark video (just to keep a few more surfers out of the water). Last Saturday two Geraldton freedivers, Nathan Podmore and Dave Richards, were less than a kilometre off shore when a 4m shark approached not long after they entered the water in search of fish. The monster came close enough to the lads for them to give it a warning poke with their spearguns ... and be recorded for all the world to see on their head-mounted GoPro camera.
Ya can hear/see the sound/look of relief in/on them when they got on the boat!!!!!
That would be scary as hell!!!
Yep, I’ve always told myself I will never surf in WA. I’m not scared of sharks, but I would be surfing in WA.
We get quite a few Great Whites around the Sth Coast here where I paddle!!!!!
I don’t think that I wanna see them when I’m in the water!!!!!
I’ve been snorkeling and diving with reef sharks plenty of times but never a white .... or a tiger for that matter even though there are plenty of them up here.
Reefies are one thing but that is a whole different ball park!!! Pretty scary
