Skateboarding Photography Contest 2012

I definitely like the 2nd one better, although I’m not sure why. Maybe because in the first one the top of his body and head are not part of what your attention is drawn to, rather than in the 2nd one where his whole body is part of what your focusing on.

I am undecided on which angle I like better….

Both shots are sick, ARLS. I think I prefer the second shot though.

For some reason, I was like a Back Crooks photo from behind. Don’t know why, it just fascinates me, like you can see the bent truck, oozing into the ledge, and the unique body shape haha

Welcome to BW Liam. Cool shot, but I’m guessing it wasnt a make seeing the frames finish on the ledge and no shot of the landing?

The first is definitely better, ARLS. The second one is also very good though in saying that, just a little more cramped. Good stuff man.

Speaking of cramped, I was kinda cramped for angles in these photos. I know it’s what you’d call an ass shot sort of, but I decided to shoot it with the truck in view rather than from front on and without the truck being visible.

I shot two, one tighter than the other. Brendan Gardoll, July 6th, Annandale.

Got another Crooked Grind dilemma haha
I’ll throw them both in and we can fight about which one is better… or both shit haha

tough one, if he had dark pants on to differentiate his lower half from the sky , the 2nd shot would be killer!

Have to upload it to a website such as photobucket or img.ur first then put it in the middle of the img and /img brackets.

Photo of the Week have been posted: https://www.boardworld.com.au/skateboarding

There were so many good photos this round. Really hard to pick just two shots. Well done to all the photographers.

The next round will include all photos posted from June 27th onwards.

Yo Walker, I do love a good smith grind photo, Nice work! My pick of these two would be the second image. I do like the use of the tree. However, and this is of course only my opinion, in the top image I think the tree takes up a little two much space in the frame. And having something so big in the foreground, that is s out of focus Is a quite a strain on the eyes. The tree and skater are competing.

The second image is sweet. (and your bags aren’t quite as obvious Haha, happens to the best of us) Just the tiniest bit more of crop I reckon would work a treat. I am guessing to the right of the image. That greyish blur is a pole that was just in front of the tree?? and to the left of frame. Id loose the door and just keep the NO. 37.

Well thats my two cents worth. I dig your shots. keep em coming.

Yep, I’m digging the second shot as well. Sick shot dude!
