Does it really matter how many likes are on the designs on the facebook page? Like in judging aspects?

It is judged by a panel of judges on creativity / originality etc. Facebook votes mean nothing.

This is correct. The album is on Facebook for viewing only. Likes and comments on Facebook have no effect on the outcome. All the voting is done by the official judges of this contest.
