It is a fair point though, and I blew up at the TV when gus gould is saying how he has to keep playing and it is important for NSW as they don’t have anyone else who can play that position…so irresponsible! Playing after a concussion is very dangerous and it is hard enough to stop kids from keeping on playing as it is, without the games most visible and listened to commentators saying that it is essential that the pros continue to play, while thousands of kids listen and absorb the ideas…gah!
They will even stop a fight in a boxing/martial arts/UFC/etc etc if an opponent has trouble standin on their feet unaided, so yeah I agree it’s a bit stupid!!!!!

Its pretty crazy watching the morris twins now, i played junior footy with them.
Same as the Stewarts (went ot school with them, played school footy with them)

Its a physical game, thats what happens. its not like soccer where every pussy dives when they feel someone breathing on them.
But the intensity of SOO is a shitload more that normal games, if that intensity was carried across to weekend footy the careers of the pros would be severely shortened!
I didn’t say that the game isn’t physical and of course I expect the odd concussion. I’ve been watching league since I knew what a TV was, a lot longer than I’ve been watching soccer. But….4-5 concussions in a game with 2-3 of those guys being completely out cold is something different…
footy isn’t a soft sport like soccer… theres meant to be big hits and heavy collisions, if there wasn’t I wouldn’t watch it!!! Footy players pretend not to be hurt, whilst soccer plays pretend to be hurt!! seperates the men from the boys…...
