Id really like to get a pair but just wondering what ones people recommend. I’ve seen grenade and DC do some but what brands have people liked. I like a good leather and or goretex glove if I can find one. Thoughts??
Cheers
Yeah, I’ve always pondered gettin myself a pair but have never taken that first step!!!!!
My eldest daughter wears some Grenade ones that zip open to reveal the fingers!!!!! Can’t remember what they are called, but she loves them!!!!!
Oh, and although it’s not a lobster claw style mitt, Radical Gloves have the Baller Mitten!!!!!
Their spring/pipe gloves have been gettin some great feedback from the crew on here!!!!!
Jez will most likely know somethin about them?????
Sweet. Thanks Mizu.
Yeh used mitts yonks ago and hated them and have been using gloves for probably the last 15 years. I think these might be a happy medium of having the warmth of a mitt with some dexterity. Its just hard to find them as all the gloves manufacturers call them something different ie lobster, trigger, index etc.
Yeah, I haven’t seen too many of them about!!!!!
Not even sure if Grenade still make the ones that my daughter has????? They are the best of both worlds and the ones that I would buy myself!!!!!
Dexterity is the only reason that I have never taken the step into bein a Mitten Kitten!!!!! Be like claustrophobia for my fingers!!!!!!
My girl got me Level Mitts.
These ones
They have all types in their range if you want the crab claw style.
So good! Super warm also has removable lining too dry them out at night. They are longer than regular mitts as they are free riding ones so reduces the snow going in between your jacket and glove.
I can’t believe I didn’t even look at the level site. My current gloves are leather and goretex from level and they’ve lasted me 11 years. I even bought a new pair of level gloves last year to replace them but Im yet to wear them as Im very attached to my original pair. At least I know my sizing for the level gloves and I agree the quality is awesome.
I havent seen these lobster style gloves for a couple years… didn’t even know they were still around! Good luck, hope you find what you’re after!
I’ve worn them ever since I started riding, not sure why but always seem to have preferred them. I’ve got a pair of Dakine that have held up well over 4 years but they are on their we put now. I’ve actually been looking at getting leather type gloves like grenade or pow simply because I want something less bulky and restrictive than mitts.
The Rome leather gloves (Index) are nice, mate used them for 3 full seasons and they only got a split on one finger due to dragging his hand. Might be worth having a look at them BammBamm.
