Hey guys, this may have been answered before and if it has could someone point me in the right direction.
My friend is keen to buy either a 2012 custom flying V or sherlock (both have the ICS system) but still wants to keep his 2010 rome 360 boss bindings. Is there a way this is possible? I’ve searched around abit and there isnt much out there, the only thing I have come across is that rome don’t make a conversion kit for their bindings. Is that true?
Well anyway any help will be much appreciated!
I’d be firin off an email to Rome direct!!!!! > ROME - CONTACT US <
If they make a disc that has the right holes in the right spot, then they should be able to steer ya mate in the right direction!!!!!
rome 390 bindings….and good idea to keep them. As the name suggests, they are BOSS! love my 2011 ones
you just need to buy the burton retro disks.
Best alternative: Stay away from burton. Plenty of boards just as good at similar or cheaper prices that don’t require you to conform to their hardware or buy adapters to make everything work.

They’re for older style Burton binders!!!!!
They may not fit other brands!!!!!
yeah i dont think the retro discs will fit other bindings other than burton. My mate found a 3D hole pattern plate for rome bindings (pretty much identical to the union baseplates) so he can line up the bolts up to fit the ICS. Probably not as well as a proper conversion disc but looks like it could work?
Even the Burton 3D system doesn’t work with ICS!!!!!
Ya still have to get the disc!!!!!
Ya could probably still line it up ok, but ya might do some irreparable damage somewhere by ridin it like that????? And not sure if the screws will fit properly in the first place either!!!!!
I don’t think there is currently any way to mount Rome bindings on a Burton Channel snowboard. The last I heard, Rome won’t make Channel discs for their bindings. I’m sure there are some dodgy methods to make it work, but I would avoid that scenario if possible. He might need to look for another board or consider buying new bindings with the Burton board.
It’s odd that they made the 3D Discs, but didn’t make the ICS!!!!!
Takin some sort of stance maybe?????
I think so.

Woah, woah, woah! Thats crazy talk there sir,
Keep the bindings, get a better board for less price i.e. dont buy burton
Well those are his two options haha.
He should just get a Mac!!!!!
Oh, wrong thread!!!!!
thanks for the help guys! I have forwarded him this thread so he can read through it for himself! I’ll keep you updated if he decides to try and fit the bindings on a burton board and if he is successful!
Rome have some awesome boards that work quite well for being diverse and fit budget well. The Agent Rocker and Postermania that I can think of straight away that rock.
