i need to grab some for my lower half, i only have a long sleeve compression top at the moment and some old long leg skins.
When i first started shopping around for SKINS there was 3 categories. Normal SKINS, Snow SKINS (which i got) and then Thermal SKINS. I got the snow ones. But now knowing what i know is suspect I should have got the Thermal ones. They will be the next ones I get.
whats the point of snow skins if they don’t wick away sweat?
I DON"T KNOW!!! LOL
I thought 3 different was overkill.
But man Isweated buckets in Japan!
Pretty sure the Thermal ones don’t have the brushed feel.
hmmmm. I just looked on the skins page and I could get a pair of the long snow ones delivered for $32.99…pretty good price I reckon and if you hadn’t said they were crap at wicking I would have already bought them….hmmmm….
Thanks heaps for the awesome advice. Yeah Cords i just checked the skins site for the snow and i see there super cheap. i think i’m still going to get them because i’ll probably still wear them for bike riding to. There crazy cheap. i almost bought some from rebel for 130 >_>.
Under Armour looks awesome but seems like a pain to get here in aus. also i know i’ve tried on skins and i know what size i am lol. I’ll just do was ozgirl said and put something over the top.
Ohh so heat gear is the type of under Armour. I might have a look at that too. I’m thinking i might get under Armour with padding because i really want to do hand plants/front flips this season. reckon i’ll need it or will it be useless lol.
Also i just checked stock on Skins website and they only have xxs and xxl on sale… lol.

Does not bother me in Aus.
But yeah check the sizing LOL

They have heat gear for when its hot and cold gear for when it’s cold. If you check out their football range a girdle is good for snowboarding with hip and tail padding some with thigh as well. I know it’s for gridiron but does the exact same for snowboarding!!! There should also be under shirts with padding around the ribs/kidney section and some shoulder padding too.
I have 3 different types of compression tights.
2XU Compression tights - Probably my favourite of the lot, look the goods, seem to be the best fit and have maintained compression.
2XU Thermal Compression Tights - I bought these for Japan but didn’t really end up needing them (I seem to get hot with just a tshirt and undies with my outerwear on) . I purchased them in the same size as the tights above but I find them way harder to get on (I’ll roll around on the bed for 15mins trying to get them over my feet/knees) They seem way less stretchy, It’s a pity as I’d probably use them for running in winter as they have a nice soft fabric on the inside but I just don’t bother because of how hard they are to put on and take off.
Skins ICE Compression Tights - These are meant to make you feel “cooler” while wearing them and they come with a special spray you can apply to them (suspect it’s just some form of menthol) They are pretty comfy but don’t seem to have as much compression as the 2XU. Guys (or girls for that matter) be careful when wearing them as it’s actually just a mesh over your naughty bits and you can see EVERYTHING!

I got caught out by that in the past.
I have a pair of Burtom compression thermals that work pretty well for the snow and were reasonably priced against the more name brand compressions tuff like skins 2xu etc.
Thanks heaps for all the advice.
Under Armour look awesome just a bit over priced for what they (to get to aus). I bought a skins s400 tank just to test and HOLY CRAP, the sweat build up is crazy… took like 2 minutes and i was dying from the heat. Given i tested it riding a bike. I think i might get the termail compression because they seem to hold sweet 5x better than just normal compression.
