Yep. My cousin and I both jumped off a couple of chairlifts in Japan.
Was in Japan, we saw a line we just had to hit, and there was no acces to it from trails. So my bro just launched off the chair ahead of me. wasnt expecting it. So I jumped off to not leave him. was still prob bout a 3-4 metre drop into pow. We thought we were out of sight of the chair boxes, but the one at the bottom saw us. They wouldnt let us back up. We said our camera fell out of our pocket into the snow and we had to get it haha. Think it was at Iwatake
jumped no, pushed yes. Same sort of thing, in japan, lift was only about 2 metres off snow, we umm’d and ahh’d about jumping off, 1 mate made that decision for me with a not so gentle push to the back. Pancaked into about 3 foot of powder so it was ok. had to crawl out to the groomed bit about 5 metres away though to strap in
