On the plus, just had my tattooist ring up and ask if i want to get mroe done on my arm. So might head up and get some work done, then spend a hell of a lot of time boarding and looking for jobs!

Missus wants to go back to the Gong but from what i can tell ,the job market there is well worse than here.
Yea if you resigned, you’d be 13k poorer. Best thing you could do if you wanted a gig at the snow would be to find a list of hotels and just email them all your resume. Say you are looking for a job and don’t really mind what it is but you will need accommodation as well. You’ll probably get cleaning rooms but you could luck out and a bartender or something didn’t show and you walk right into one of the best jobs on the mountain. (I’d probably say no to dish pig but thats just me, I’ve done it before and wouldn’t do it again.)

Yep things happen for a reason! Why not enroll to be an instructor? Perisher only ask their part time instructors to commit to school holds and 2 weekends a year and for that the get a seasons pass!
I had a bad run on jobs over the last couple of years a few friends were stunned when i announced that I would be working at a company that is globally known for working the employees to the bone and i suspect didn’t think I would last. Who would have known it would be the making of me - love my job!

Would you go back? From memory you seem to prefer Melbourne to the gong, will make it hard one way or the other cause of what the missus has said. If you do go back you will chew up a fair bit of that redundancy in costs. With that said if you tried to go back without it you would be screwed. I did Sydney to Melbourne and then back again and would have been lucky to see much change out of $6K each time, lucky for me work paid for it. No idea what the work situation is like down in the gong but from what I gather the Sydney market is doing better than the Melbourne market. First decision is to stay in Melbs or not, once that’s sorted you can work on the employement. I would make a decision ASAP, life in limbo ain’t much fun.
Sent emails to Falls & Mt Hotham asking if they have any openings due to non turn up of staff/early resignations etc.
See what happens.
The only way i will go back to the gong is if i secure FIFO work in QLD, NSW or WA or my mates can get me into Appin mine with hthem.

I just had an epiphany!!!!! I do promise to clean it up later, but Baby Mizu’s beau has been doin some carpentry work down at H’ville along with workin at the hotel, she has got another job workin with Hoth Sports, so it might be worth textin/ringin her and askin if she knows of any work that’s available atm!!!!!
