There are always hurdles when it comes to bricks and mortar!!!!!
Make sure you do inspections regularly, project home builders quality control is pathetic and their finishes in general are substandard (but they will meet their internal standards), When i was on the tools i had to go back and fix up shitloads of defects in project homes because, according to the builder, the finish was up to their standard and they werent liable to do anything…
And DO NOT take the keys until you are 100% happy AND they have completed the sub-standard work that you have pointed out!!!!!

Thanks for the tips everyone! It is a 6 stage build, so we inspect the work BEFORE we pay for it. Will be going over everything with a fine tooth comb!

They will normally send ya through each time with an accompanying site forman or the like too!!!!!
Go through with them, but then tell them you wish to do a walk through at your own leisure, and by yourselves as well!!!!!
Sometimes they can be distracting when they are with you, and they also can use this as a comeback when handing over!!!!!
