It is the run from Mid station back down to Front Valley. It is usually the next to open after Front Valley.

It’s flat, if you take it prepare to unbind and skate half the way.

Christchurch (not up in the mountains).

I saw christchurch was copping a bit (and Mt Shutt has 70cm).

I think they’re referring to the flat section above the actual gully Oz (between it and mid station). I hate it on a blowy day cause if the winds blowing at you, you pretty much stop and start going backwards. I think I’ve had my worst arse stack there. Zero snow, pure ice, howling gale..straight on my coccyx. ouchies
I’ve got a girlfriend who is still a newbie on the board and she finds the gully section of goats gully terrifying so your not alone there Oz

the single worst thing about snowboarding..falling on your arse.
But only landing on one cheek so it feels like your arse is getting ripped apart.

The flat bit is called Yabbie flats! (well on our list. the steep bit is goats gully proper!)

Not sure why but I have never had to skate from mid station back down to front valley, yes it is pretty flat but just carry some speed or wax your board more regularly, I don’t remember it being that bad!  Deano a mate of mine last year actually started bleeding from his butt from landing on one cheek and pulling it so far away from the other, heavy but I was pissing myself laughing, that’s what mates are for I guess.

Reminds me of that video of that kid skateboarding, he ollies down a massive stairset, but his board flips up and hits his nuts. Cue running around screaming, holding his nuts.

When he pulls his hand away he sees blood and screams out “my balls/nuts are bleeding” then his mates actually got off their arses and helped him instead of laughing.
