Thanks for your support!
Sure why not.
Thanks mate.
It’d be great, but don’t hold your breath. It’s a reasonable assumption that the main reason the City of Sydney Council has been putting off the proposed skateboard park in the CBD for 6 years now, is because Clover Moore is only interested in buying votes with council funds - and this not only wouldn’t buy her many votes, but would also probably lose her some.
if its not bike path related, she doesnt want to hear about it!
Spending over 100 million dollars on bicycle lanes hardly anyone uses, is far more important to Clover Moore than spending a tiny fraction of that on a skatepark that many people would actually use. Sad, but true.
I went to fill it in, but then it told me it had already been signed from this IP. I must have done it a while back. Not sure why I didnt post it in here
Something definitely worth considering, is that Clover Moore doesn’t give a crap about petitions etc. She couldn’t care less how many people support the idea - she only cares about herself and pushing her own agenda, so you have to make it all about her. The best way to achieve a positive result is to gain widespread media exposure - she will only act if there’s an opportunity for her to publicly look good, or to avoid publicly looking bad (i.e. people finding out what she’s REALLY like).
done
Sydney City will build a skatepark. They are putting it off and finding places and then finding excuses to wait and find another place. The best way to show them that there is a need and desire for one is to let them know it will be a popular decision. There is also a hard copy signature petition going at 99 Degrees skateshop in Crown St Darlinghurst ; Aaron has been behind all these petitions and helping out for years. We have already handed in a petition to a Sydney City councillor with 1,000 signatures a couple of years ago. We are approaching another 1.000 signatures with the on-line petition and the hard copy petitions which will be presented to the Council at the same time.
Big Thanks to BOARDWORLD for giving this a big push
