Yeah it totally evens out with my friend and I - but knew you would say you were casual which is why I used it as an example! For what its worth the coffee lady works part time (have no idea if that is hourly or salary part time tho)
A friend of my is a permanent primary school teacher and earns slightly less than me.
But you have the earning potential to earn more the than the coffee lady.
But I def well off since I earn this having never finished high school nor gone to Uni!
The only reason my friend who is a nurse earns more than me is because of shift loading! Shocking!
Yet you come across as educated
Yet you come across as educated
yes my perfect grammar proves it
Or maybe it is my skier side coming out???
not to mention your skills at drinking and staying in control
And not passing out early and getting stickered!
Devo that I parked my car in a “No Stopping” zone for only a couple of minutes while I picked up a package at the post office, and there was a parking cop at my car when I got back.
Does anyone know, if they don’t give you a parking ticket on the spot, can you still get one in the mail?
I explained that normally I’d park in the five minute parking spaces specifically designated for post office pickups, but because backpackers had destroyed the signs (removed one and spraypainted over the other) so they could park their vans there indefinitely (we were standing right there, so she could see the signs and the vans), I’d only parked behind their vans because there was no other viable choice - and that I’d already been driving around for 15 minutes looking for a legal place to park. The parking cop just kept on saying “You’re in a No Stopping zone” and “Write a letter” before suddenly walking away from me and starting to write a ticket for another car.
So, did the parking cop let me off - or is this a tactic they’ve been instructed to take (for when people look like they’re about to go all Bruce Banner on them), and should I expect a ticket in the mail?
99% chance you will get one in the mail. they take a photo of your car before they even begin to write tickets to back themselves up.
So the mailing thing is common practice - even when you and your car are right there in front of the parking cop?
I haven’t heard of this tactic for many years.
The cops used to take photos of people pulling up at C’town station to pick up passengers in the no stopping zone then post out the fine. (the pick up zone is always full).
I think she may have let you off. People will do anything to get away from a Chucky rantathon.
i got one like that a while ago…bastards

You don’t spend much time in Canberra. This sounds like common practice, sorry Chucky.
