Yes, I feel like I’ve improved in those areas since the beginning of the season.
i prob should have added to this after getting back from Tahoe,
i didnt achieve what i wanted to by the end of my USA trip.
Was aiming to get some 360’s landed off park jumps by the end, only got around to landing them off side hits etc, not actual jumps. was not consistantly landing them enough to attempt on big jumps. Attempted one of a jump at Northstar and ate sh!t, byut that time my knees were aching from a rail stack earlier in the day so that put an end to my rotations.
Wanted to work on my switch riding more, had the perfect opportunity as i was cruising around with the GF for most of the time but due to lack of real snow, i wasnt keen to stack onto ice/compacted snow too much. So that went out the window.
All in all fairly disappointed with my effort, but i have a season pass to falls/hotham this year so i intend to fully make up for it.
Mate, didnt realize you were on teh Heropass bandwagon too! Have to definately meet up for some shredding this year
haha yeh mate, missus me and a mate got one. its gunna be oonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Dude… who isn’t on the hero pass bandwagon!
Haha true that!
Hey Deano…
If you are wanting to dial in 360s… especially if you have been doing them off side hits. I’d seriously suggest http://www.snowboardaddiction.com Nev has some really good tutorials on spinning. I’ve learned a lot from them myself. I bought the whole series.
I see a topic in these forums where BW members can get a discount when buying things on his site too.
He talks about approach to the lip which I really appreciated and learned from.
He talks about taking off from the lip and body position in the air. upper and lower body rotation and counter rotation.
and of course the important landing. He covers it all with plenty of repetition that you don’t need to keep rewinding or hitting slow mo to understand what is going on.
i have been meaning to check out those vids actually,
A quick update from me. My turning to the left and to the right has improved quite a bit which is pleasing as i’ve been working on those two buggers for years! In other news my frontboards on street style down rails have improved to the point where I don’t have to clench to avoid soiling myself before dropping in so that’s taken a weight off my mind (not to mention the elastic on my boxers).
I also learnt how to do switch ups on my skis but I didn’t tell you that right!
it’s been pretty quiet on here so i thought i’d post another update, hmmm let’s see what’s new, well my pipe is way better, getting out of both walls consistently in the whis pipe so stoked on that. on rails i learnt cab lipslides, on boxes and tubes i’ve learnt cab 27 on and switch boardslides.
basically having the funnest time everyday riding spring park, can’t wait to go shred tomorrow and i’ll try and land some new shit for another update in a week or so…
Hope other boardworlders are out their shredding somewhere!
Hey Aidy are you riding at whis? If so we should go for a cruise sometime
Wish I was in whis for some slushy spring park
Sounds like you’re getting some pretty techy tricks down Aidy. Cab lip slides on rails I think I’ll leave those ones to u man haha
Good job man!
I also learnt how to do switch ups on my skis but I didn’t tell you that right!

Ha Ha!
Andy, they’re actually pretty easy cab lip slides…..now switch back lip there’s a trick!
Skip11 it’d be fun to meet up and ride a bit of sunny park, I’m riding pretty much everyday until the end of the month. I’ll PM you my mobile number so give me a shout when you’re riding!
Today’s new trick: switch frontboard 27 out on an easy flat box, yeah snowboarding!!
Felt my board control is way better now compared to the start of the season. Just straight lining, turning, carving, small ollies felt pretty good. Hit 78 km/h straightlining the bottom of jersey cream (prolly my first real “fast” run, although it’s probably cruising speed for most of the guys here hahah). I think the CASI course, even though a lot of it are reviews to me, it definitely improved my riding. Practiced some switch today, also improved. Am able to do switch (really slow tho) on some blue runs now.
@aidy: For sure, maybe we can go for a shred after you done with park . Not much of a park guy here ahaha.
