Yeah we will do a couple day trips here and there. Just depends on dollars really!
RPS88a and I are planning as many weekend trips as we can dependent on snow and cheap accommodation availability (Saturday nigh)
yeah as DRC said, we bought season passes so will be trying to squeeze in as many weekends as possible leaving friday night/early saturday morning and going through til sunday…
we have a week planned in July and another in August, can’t remember dates at the moment though
yeah thats sweet as me and my brother are the same straight form work on a friday arvo. should defs have a few weekends with a few of us where you living at in reguards to time getting down there?

Hey there Perisher locals! Couple of questions.. I’m putting together a work trip and we are staying on the mountain Jul/Aug ish. What’s the night life like up there? Is there anything going on mid week? Staff night?? Is there likely to be anywhere (nice-ish) that could host a 80 seat sit down dinner?? Thanks.
There is a staff night. Main place is the Man from Snowy River hotel. Perisher Manor is closed by 11pm (Unless the bar is full) and I think Sundeck has a decent nightlife. Though it’s up the hill and if you aren’t staying there, prolly not worth it.

The Man - In my opinion is for an older, slightly richer, stuffier crowd. But could be a great location for your dinner. Mid week the Perisher Valley Hotel might give you exclusive use of their dining room.
The Smiggis Hotel is the pick for nightlife, most staff go there and if I remember correctly on Wednesday they have a band (I am relying on that for my group!)
A group of that size may be hard to accommodate in Perisher, Sadly I think Thredbo would be more the go for you.

From your initial post when you said Jul/Aug i assumed you hadn’t booked accom.
I am organising a work trip but if we get 30 people interested we would be lucky!
Got the entire Matterhorn booked so got a deal on the accomm and means.
I’m not sure where I fit in, I have a season pass and national parks pass for the car and plan on going down as much as possible, basically as long as it’s not raining I will be there most weekends as well as possibly two longer stints, a few days for the shred then also a couple of mates and I have a boys trip planned for a whole week.
